ABOUT THE PROJECT

OVERVIEW

The “Stronger Together: Strengthening Youth Workers and Organisations for Displaced Youth Integration and Resilience” project is designed to address the critical challenges faced by displaced youth—both refugees and internally displaced persons—in Ukraine, Georgia, Turkey, Moldova, and Poland.

Its primary aim is to enhance the capacity of youth workers and the organisations that support them by providing the necessary tools, skills, and innovative approaches, such as trauma-informed care and cross-cultural communication, to effectively support the integration of displaced youth.

Ultimately, the project seeks to build resilience, promote active participation, and foster inclusive, cohesive communities that empower young people to overcome the barriers they face in their daily lives.

What do

we want
to achieve?

The project aims to enhance the capacity of youth workers and organisations to support displaced youth through trauma-informed care, cross-cultural communication, and inclusive youth work strategies.

Enhance the professional skills of youth workers

engaged in supporting displaced youth through tailored training programs focusing on trauma-informed care, cross-cultural communication, and resilience-building.

Support the development and implementation of organisational strategies and policies

that promote diversity, inclusion, and the active participation of displaced youth in decision-making processes.

Foster capacity building, cooperation, and networking

among youth organisations working with displaced youth, encouraging the exchange of best practices and innovative approaches to address the needs of displaced youth populations.

Encourage the creation and dissemination of new forms
of delivering youth work

and providing training and support to displaced youth, facilitating non-formal learning mobility opportunities and innovative approaches to reach and engage marginalized youth populations.

What is Capacity
building in the field of youth?

Capacity building in the field of youth refers to international cooperation projects that unite youth organizations from the EU, Programme-associated countries, and select third countries—specifically targeting regions like the Western Balkans, Eastern Partnership, Southern Mediterranean, and Sub-Saharan Africa.

These projects aim to enhance the skills, knowledge, and overall capacity of youth workers and organizations through non-formal learning and collaborative activities that drive sustainable socio-economic development and improve well-being among young people. Supported by lump-sum grants—with a funding rate of 80% and, for regions 1, 2, and 3, a maximum EU contribution of EUR 300,000—each project’s budget is detailed into coherent work packages (such as project management, training, event organization, mobility, communication, and quality assurance).

This structured approach ensures that resources are efficiently allocated, empowering youth organizations to implement innovative strategies for social inclusion and capacity building.
